Branson, Missouri – Industry research released in June by Skift – a global leader in researching and reporting on travel news and trends – showed a decline in “travel health” for the first time since January. “It’s significant in what it implies,” he said with a slight shrug. “Economic worries, mass cancellations of airports and price increases seem to be affecting the industry,” Skift reports.

Canceled flights, major staff shortages, and lost luggage disrupting airlines and airports for the summer, combined with rising fares, are putting people off flying.

For travelers who want to enjoy a vacation this winter and fall but don’t want to fly, Branson is ideal for driving visitors. One-third of the US population is within an 8-hour drive and 50 percent within a 12-hour drive.

“The numbers don’t lie, and that’s why Branson is so appealing to people who don’t currently fly but don’t want to sacrifice their summer vacations and golf outings,” said Lynn Berry, Branson’s director of communications. .

About 10,000,000 visitors came to the region in 2021, with a significant increase in 2020 due to Covid-19, and more than 10% in 2019, the year not affected by Covid-19.

While the total number of destinations was increasing, positive trends were observed for most of the destinations, including golf. Branson’s 10 courses, live entertainment theaters, unique lakes and family-friendly activities are known for their diversity and quality.

All 10 Branson golf courses are open to the public and range from luxury resort to daily fee options. Located in close proximity to each other, the courses offer many lodging options, restaurants, an amusement park, museums and countless other attractions without losing their comfortable settings amidst the natural bounty of the Ozarks.

Five of Missouri’s top 10-rated courses are located within Branson’s golf destination, including Four. Some have been ranked among the nation’s top 100 public courses by leading magazines.

Course designs by Tiger Woods, Jack Nicklaus, Gary Player, Bob Cupp and Tom Fazio combine with first-class playing conditions, hospitality and five courses certified by Audubon International for their environmental and conservation excellence.

Branson was voted the No. 3 TripAdvisor community’s top U.S. destination in 2021.
