Across all 11 countries we studied, there was a 16 percent increase in the use of digital tools to book air tickets and accommodations online, with consumers reporting greater engagement with travel platforms, including Airbnb and Hostin, among other digital solutions.
“That increase in digital transformation has prompted more consumers to use a variety of local transportation and mobility apps,” the study said, adding, “We saw a 15% increase in apps for paying for train, bus and taxi rides, and a 12% increase in the use of apps to book micromobility trips.”
