A former Google executive says he was fired from the tech company for rejecting his boss’s advances.

Ryan Ollon, a 48-year-old New Jersey father of seven, told Tiffany Miller he had a good body by rubbing his stomach and that her marriage was ‘not hot,’ according to a lawsuit filed in November.

Miller, who is Asian, told Olohan that she knew he liked Asian women – referring to his wife, who is also Asian.

The alleged incident happened in December 2019 at the Fig & Olive restaurant in Manhattan, which O’Lohan said he reported to human resources the following week, but no complaints were filed. And this was only the beginning of the harassment.

There was no discussion or investigation into the incident, and O’Lohan said in the lawsuit that there was retaliation from Miller after he filed his complaint with HR.

Miller criticized him and reported to Human Resources for ‘minor assaults’ in two instances cited in the lawsuit by managers.

Jackie Shistel, Google’s human resources business partner, agreed that Miller was ‘petty’ on both occasions and that there were no micro-aggressions from O’Lohan.

O’Lohan said Miller’s retaliation and hatred caused him anxiety and made him feel like he was on trial.

In June 2022, Schiestel informed O’Lohan that an employee had filed a complaint against him with human resources, and three weeks later, O’Lohan informed O’Lohan that the complaint was in retaliation for Miller’s rejection of her sexual advances.

In June, O’Lohan told the team to hire only female applicants and in July encouraged him to fire a male employee to make room for a woman on his team, the suit says.

The following month, Google fired Olon, ending his tenure at the company after 16 years.

During a video conference call, O’Lohan said he was being fired by Google’s employee investigation team for not being “inclusive.”

Google’s employee investigation team said it showed a bias towards high performers, which it deemed ‘not inclusive’, and commented on what it considered to be a ‘talented’ walk-in and movement of employees.

The lawsuit seeks unspecified damages and names Google and Miller as defendants in creating a discriminatory, retaliatory and hostile work environment.

Following his dismissal, O’Lohan joined Click Group as Executive Vice President of Development. He also has an ice cream shop in New Jersey.
